Welcome to the Janice Rosenberg Team Monthly e news - June 2011 Dear Friends, Can you believe it is just June 1st and we are already experiencing 90+ degrees! Be safe out there- drink lots of water and try to stay cool.It is so nice that we have so many pools in our communities to choose from. The real estate market is doing a lot better than the media would have you believe. At least in our wonderful area. We are still in the top 10 places in the country to live. Of course we are…. What a great place to live and raise a family. I hope you all have experienced the great hospitality that southerners spread to their friends and neighbors. I have lived in a lot of places and this area is just the best for making people feel at home. A very dear friend of mine just lost her Dad and our neighborhood all pulled together with food, drink and companionship. That doesn’t happen everywhere. Welcome to the Janice Rosenberg Team Monthly e news - May 2011 Dear Friends, I want to share a very serious experience my neighbors had this past week and hopefully some info to help you stay safe. My neighbors were broken into this week in broad daylight. They were not home, thank the Lord. Another of our neighbors while walking noticed a guy in their yard with a knapsack that they never saw before, but didn’t think much about it. Another neighbor heard glass break and didn’t think much about it either. It’s a great time to talk to your neighbors about staying alert and reporting possible issues that are out of the ordinary. I was forwarded this info and it is very appropriate. Hopefully it will prevent one of you from experiencing this personally. Welcome to the Janice Rosenberg Team Monthly e news - April 2011 Dear Friends, It’s a beautiful spring day as I write this letter to you! Enjoy every moment- pretty soon we will be covered with yellow and green pollen. I just love hearing the birds chirping and watching the flowers bloom a little bit more every day. Go for a walk, get some fresh air- we all deserve it. Tax time is coming up and good old Uncle Sam will have his hand out again on April 15th. For those of us that own homes we are fortunate to have the tax advantage. Thank God the government hasn’t taken that away from us….yet. Homes are selling again and interest rates have climbed a bit. If you are thinking of selling, it is a perfect time to see what the market will bear. If you would like a market analysis on your home or just talk about how things are out there, we are here for you. We are holding lunch and learns at companies for any one that has interest. We are teaching our money management/wealth building workshop as well as just discussing the Real estate and lending world in its current state. Welcome to the Janice Rosenberg Team Monthly e news - March 2011 Dear Friends, Norm and I just returned from a fabulous cruise vacation to Panama and Costa Rica. We were so fortunate to have the opportunity to see 3 ships go thru the canal! What an amazing creation that was- ships save 8000 miles by using the canal instead of having to be routed all the way around South America. It is very costly to enter the canal- we were told a small cargo ship pays $95,000 and a cruise ship pays $400,000 for that luxury! I guess they save the money in gas and time. Costa Rica is a beautiful country. We saw monkeys jumping in the trees like our squirrels do- that was fun! We also had an opportunity to see the sloths hanging from trees. We took an 1800’s train on a 1.5 hour journey back to the ship. To be honest, I could have done without the trip. We were jolted from side to side as the train or the tracks haven’t been worked on since 1800! We went thru a very poor section of Costa Rica which was quite depressing. We did see a lot of banana groves which was very interesting. If I had to do it again, I would have taken a zip line instead. As far as real estate goes, there is more activity on homes since January 1st then there has been in all of 2010. Hopefully that is going to continue for the balance of this year. Interest rates are creeping up but are still very low. The homes are staged well and priced competitively are selling. We have held two wealth workshops this year so far to help anyone interested in learning a system to maintain a family budget and a great way to save money. Welcome to the Janice Rosenberg Team Monthly e news - February 2011 Dear Friends, Valentines Day is right around the corner- be thinking of a random act of kindness you can do for someone for this special day. So many of us focus on our loved ones, which of course is important, but how about those that may be lonely this Valentines Day. Think of who you know that may be alone or just need a friend and do something nice for them this year. You will sleep better knowing you are helping others. The real estate market is holding steady for the early part of 2011. There actually appears to be more buyers out looking at homes than in the past year or so. There are more homes selling right now too. Interest rates are still very low- under 5% but they have crept up from the 4% we had last year.
